My First ARBA Leg With A Homegrown Holland Lop The Nature Trail's Jamie Takes The Broken Junior Buck Class At The NC State Convention
My First Leg With a Home Grown Holland
March 2004 North Carolina State Convention Smithfield, NC Judge: Ray Brewer
I had been showing for about nine months when I showed The Nature Trail's Jamie. I had sold his brother to Valerie Harrell and wondered if I had sold the wrong brother. It was a long show and I was very tired, so I had gone to sit down and rest. I wasn't paying any attention to the table when Valerie came over and said, "Our boys are still on the table." Since I had never won a leg on a homegrown rabbits, I was immediately excited (and grateful that I hadn't missed it). Jamie came in first and his brother came in second. Apparently I kept the right one.
Jamie eventually went to live with a youth breeder in Ohio. She wrote me later to say that he had placed first or second in several shows in a row. She was pleased with him and I was proud.
